AAP California Chapter 2
|Dear Dr. |
Welcome to Spring! I hope you have all weathered flu and RSV and are ready for kindergarten check-ups and camp physicals.
In this issue, we have included new informaiton from LADPH regarding the Tdap requirement for entering 7-12 graders this fall. Additionally, we want to hear from you about your questions and your stories. We strive to keep our communications pertinent and relevant. See our article about putting in your two cents.
We have all been saddened this week watching the devastation in Japan. The AAP Friends of Children Disaster Relief Fund is soliciting donations to help children and pediatricians recover from the earthquake and tsunami. You can go to www.aap.org and donate.
Our own California Legislature dealt a blow to children this week by slashing the budgets of Medi-Cal and Healthy Families, and moving money from First 5 reserves into the General Fund. Learn more on the District website at www.aap-ca.org.
