The AAP-CA2 Climate Change Committee is pleased to announce a community volunteering opportunity for all pediatricians on Earth Day 2023! We will be distributing seeds and healthy snacks at the Community Clean-Up event at Belvedere Community Regional Park to promote the importance of nature for the health of our children, family and communities. If you are interested in volunteering at the event, see details below (which are also outlined in the attached flyer):

General Event Details:

• Date: Saturday, April 22, 2023
• Time: 10AM-1PM (3 Hours)
• Location: Belvedere Community Regional Park
• Address: 4914 E. Cesar Chavez Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90022

Be prepared to assist with one or more of the following activities:

• 9:30-10AM ~ Table Set Up (UCLA Health Table)
• 10AM-1PM ~ Earth Day Event
• Distribution of wildflower and tomato seeds for planting
• Distribution of snacks
• Providing recommendations/resources related to healthy eating and nature for health
• 1-1:30PM ~ Clean Up

NOTE: This event is 3 hours long. Depending on how long you are able to volunteer for, be sure to wear comfortable clothing. Bring your own water and snack, as desired.
