The American Academy of Pediatrics California Chapter 2 (AAP-CA2) and the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), in collaboration with the National American Academy of Pediatrics and through a grant from the CDC, bring a one-hour program to highlight the processes implemented in public schools to keep students and staff safe from communicable diseases. There is no cost to attend this event. Snacks and free parking included.
The event recording will be made available to all registrants (both in-person and zoom attendees).

Prevención de Infecciones en las Escuelas: De Mitos Rotos a Implementación
La Academia Americana de Pediatría CA-2 y LAUSD les invita a un programa informativo donde presentaremos los procesos implementados en las escuelas públicas para que los estudiantes y el personal escolar se mantengan protegidos de las enfermedades transmisibles. Este evento es GRATIS. Invitamos pediatras, personal de salud escolar, padres y tutores. Habrá refrescos y botanas. Estacionamiento gratis. Interpretación al Espańol disponible (Debe traer su teléfono celular para oír la transmisión). La grabación del evento se hará disponible a todos los registrados (en persona y por Zoom).
Presentado por la Dra. Smita Malhotra, directora médica de LAUSD, y el Dr. Ken Zangwil, especialista en enfermedades infecciosas.
