AAP-CA2 and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles are working together to help you get to step two – taking action! The Los Angeles – Health Care Alliance for Children is a program funded by First5 LA that aims to guide physicians through the advocacy process – one step at a time.

Your time is short, and sometimes taking on another task can seem daunting. That’s why we’re developing LA-HPAC to be an easy and convenient program. Here’s how:

  • It’s FREE.
  • We come to you
    • We’ll be hosting trainings at major hospitals in each SPA in Los Angeles
    • Townhall meetings in each county will feature shorter/brief trainings
    • Online modules to learn on your own schedule
  • Makes it easy
    • Compartmentalized trainings help you learn the “ins-and-outs” of advocacy so you can decide what you have time to take on, from:
      • Media training
      • Letter writing
      • Talking to legislators
      • Participating in community organizations

Time is a commodity and seems to always be running short, but even an hour now could help save lives and truly impact the system in the future.
