Lactation Committee Chair

Candace Gragnani, MD, MPH, is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the UCLA Department of Medicine and on faculty for the UCLA Preventive Medicine program and the AAP-California Chapter 2 Chapter Breastfeeding Coordinator. Her research interests include improving healthcare access and outcomes for underserved and marginalized youth/communities, quality improvement in well-child care, working with communities to build capacity for healthier lifestyles, and expansive efforts to address pressing maternal and infant health equity issues in South Los Angeles. In addition to her research interests, Dr. Gragnani is the director of the UCLA Pathways for Students into Health Professions (PSHP) program for disadvantaged undergraduate students interested in public health and health professional careers and co-director of the UCLA Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health graduate training program.
